Clean State is a locally owned Middle Tennessee company with 15+ years of professional carpet and floor cleaning experience.
We're also owner-operated.
That means when you schedule with Clean State, Jeremy—the owner—is the person who actually comes out and performs the work.
For us, every job is personal because every result represents our business.
Smyrna homes often contain several different flooring surfaces under one roof.
You may have carpet in the bedrooms, LVP downstairs, tile in the bathrooms, an area rug in the living room, and a sectional that needs professional cleaning.
That's why Clean State offers much more than basic carpet cleaning.
We provide:
We specialize in:
Our fabric-cleaning services include:
Clean State also professionally cleans:
We also provide grout color sealing for qualifying tile and grout floors.
Pet urine is one of those problems that can look simple on the surface while being much more complicated underneath.
A dog or cat accident can pass through the carpet fibers and reach the carpet backing or pad.
The visible stain may only be a few inches wide, while contamination underneath has spread much farther.
That is one reason homeowners sometimes notice:
“I had the carpet cleaned, but the pet smell eventually came back.”
Clean State specializes in pet stain and odor treatment in Smyrna, TN and can take additional steps beyond routine carpet cleaning when necessary.
Our first priority is determining where the contamination actually is.
When appropriate, we can use professional UV inspection to help locate pet urine deposits that may not be easily visible under normal lighting.
This can be especially useful if:
Once contaminated areas are identified, professional pet-treatment products can be applied where they're actually needed.
Professional extraction helps rinse treated contamination from the carpet.
When urine has traveled through the carpet backing and into the padding, deeper treatment may be appropriate.
For certain situations, specialized Water Claw extraction can help remove contaminated solution and moisture from beneath the carpet surface.
A single puppy accident is very different from years of repeated pet contamination.
That's why we don't automatically recommend the same treatment to every customer.
We assess what we're dealing with and explain the options.
Our goal is to treat the source of the odor whenever reasonably possible—not simply spray fragrance over it.
Carpet works almost like a large filter inside the home.
Day after day, it collects contaminants from:
Shoes
Pets
Children
Outdoor soil
Dust
Food
Body oils
Pet dander
Spills
General household traffic
Vacuuming is important, but even a good vacuum cannot remove everything that becomes embedded deeper in carpet fibers.
Professional carpet cleaning helps remove contamination that routine maintenance leaves behind.
Clean State uses professional hot water extraction, often called steam cleaning, for deep carpet cleaning.
The exact process depends on the condition of your carpet, but a job may include:
We remove dry particulate soil before introducing moisture whenever appropriate.
Professional cleaning products are applied to help break down oils, grime, spots, and accumulated traffic soil.
For carpet that needs additional attention, mechanical agitation can help work cleaning solution deeper into the fibers.
Our professional truck-mounted equipment uses hot water extraction to flush loosened contamination from the carpet.
Extraction is an important part of the process.
Our goal is to remove suspended soil, excess moisture, and cleaning residue rather than simply making the surface look temporarily better.
Your furniture can become dirty gradually enough that you don't notice it happening.
Then one day you look at the arms of your couch or your favorite recliner and realize how much everyday use has accumulated.
Furniture can collect:
Body oils
Dust
Food residue
Pet hair
Pet dander
Spills
Everyday soil
Clean State professionally cleans many types of furniture throughout Smyrna, Tennessee, including:
Sofas
Sectionals
Loveseats
Recliners
Dining Chairs
Accent Chairs
Ottomans
Other compatible upholstery
Because fabrics vary, we evaluate the upholstery before determining the appropriate cleaning process.
Area rugs are often some of the hardest-working surfaces inside a home.
They're walked on, played on, slept on by pets, and exposed to everyday dirt and spills.
Clean State offers professional area rug cleaning in Smyrna, TN for many qualifying rugs.
Before cleaning, we consider:
Fiber type
Construction
Dye stability
Pet contamination
Stains
Age
Existing damage
so that we can choose an appropriate method.
Newer homes and remodeled properties throughout Rutherford County frequently use luxury vinyl plank and other resilient flooring.
These floors are durable, but they aren't immune to buildup.
Textured flooring can gradually trap:
Kitchen oils
Pet residue
Fine dirt
Cleaning-product buildup
Foot traffic soil
Sticky residue
Clean State professionally cleans:
Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP)
Vinyl Plank Flooring
Traditional Vinyl
Linoleum
Laminate
If your floors still look dull after normal mopping, a professional cleaning may help remove residue ordinary maintenance has left behind.
Tile floors often show their age first in the grout.
Grout lines can collect oils, dirt, food residue, and other contamination that isn't always removed by mopping.
We provide professional tile and grout cleaning for:
Kitchens
Bathrooms
Laundry Rooms
Entryways
Hallways
Mudrooms
Commercial Floors
Other compatible tile surfaces
We can also provide grout color sealing for qualifying floors.
Hardwood floors can accumulate residue even when they're maintained regularly.
Traffic, oils, dust, and repeated cleaning products can contribute to a dull or uneven appearance.
Clean State provides professional hardwood floor cleaning for qualifying homes in Smyrna, TN.
We inspect the flooring and finish before selecting an appropriate cleaning process.
Natural stone requires special consideration.
Marble, travertine, granite, quartzite, and other stone surfaces shouldn't automatically be treated with the same products or techniques used on ordinary tile.
Clean State provides professional cleaning for qualifying natural stone and evaluates the material before cleaning.

I had an amazing experience! Jeremy was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. He walked through my home, explained everything, and gave me a very fair price before getting started.
He cleaned three bedrooms, the hallway, the stairs, and two large area rugs, and everything looked fantastic when he was finished. What impressed me the most was that he went above and beyond. He treated and completely removed a stubborn pet stain where my dog had repeatedly been having accidents, and he also got stains out of my daughter’s room that I honestly didn’t think would come out.
Jeremy was professional, friendly, and had such a positive attitude the entire time. Even though it was scorching hot outside, he never slowed down and worked hard from beginning to end with a smile on his face.
If you’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and truly cares about their customers, I highly recommend Jeremy. I’ll definitely be using his services again! ☺️☺️☺️

Q: Do you provide carpet cleaning throughout Smyrna, TN?
Yes, across Smyrna 37167 and the surrounding Rutherford County area, including the Sam Ridley Parkway corridor, Stewarts Creek, and Almaville Road.
Q: A lot of Smyrna works shift schedules at the Nissan plant — can you work around that?
Yes, and we hear this a fair amount in Smyrna specifically. If your schedule runs nights, rotating shifts, or otherwise doesn't fit a standard 9-to-5 appointment window, tell us when you call and we'll do our best to find a time that actually works instead of defaulting to the usual slots.
Q: Do you clean apartments, and is there a limit on which floors?
We do, but there's a real equipment limit: our hoses are truck-mounted, so we can reach up to the third floor as long as there's balcony or stair access and an outdoor spigot at the building. We can't get to the fourth floor or higher yet — that's changing once we add a portable unit, which we're working toward.
Q: How do you treat pet urine and odor?
We look for contamination beyond what's visible first, then treat based on severity — standard extraction for lighter cases, sub-surface treatment or Water Claw extraction when it's worked into the padding or subfloor.
Q: Can carpet and hard-surface floors be cleaned in the same visit?
Usually, yes — a lot of Smyrna appointments combine the two rather than scheduling separately.
Q: Do you also serve La Vergne and Murfreesboro?
Yes, both are part of our regular Rutherford County coverage alongside Smyrna.
Q: Is Clean State based in Smyrna?
No — Lebanon, TN is our home base, and Smyrna is one of the Rutherford County markets we drive to on a regular basis, not an occasional stop.
